These terms apply when you book or use services from valleyroots.tech. By booking or paying, you agree to them.
Our services
We provide computer and tech support, in person and remotely, including consults, remote sessions, on-site visits, and drop-off bench work. Service descriptions and prices are listed on our site and may change over time.
Booking and payment
When you book, your time is held and confirmed once payment is completed. Some services collect a fixed fee up front; any additional time or work beyond what that fee covers is only done with your approval and billed afterward at the applicable rate. Prices shown are for labor.
Parts
For repairs and upgrades, replacement parts (such as drives, memory, and OS licenses) are billed at our cost with no markup, and we source the best price we reasonably can for you. Prebuilt or custom-built computers we sell are priced separately.
Reschedules, cancellations, and refunds
Plans change, and that is okay. You can reschedule or cancel from the link in your confirmation email, or reply to it and we will help.
- 4 or more hours before your appointment: cancel for a full refund, or reschedule at no charge.
- Less than 4 hours before: you can still reschedule, and we will credit what you paid toward one new appointment within 30 days, but it is non-refundable at that point.
- No-show, with no notice: the payment covers the time we set aside and is not refunded. If something came up, reach out and we will do our best to work with you.
Your upfront payment covers your first scheduled block. We only add time or work with your approval, and any remaining balance is invoiced afterward at the rates shown. Parts, hardware, and third-party services are billed separately.
Back up your data
Please back up important data before any service. While we take care with your equipment, we are not responsible for loss of data, and we recommend keeping your own current backups. We can help you set up a backup if you would like.
Disclaimers and liability
Services are provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA.
